Seven western regions, twelve guests, one guide who confirms your seat

vertexloomb.com runs weekend departures only in the seven western regions of Ukraine: Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, and Volyn. We do not sell trips outside these oblasts.

The full itinerary, with stops, guesthouses, meals, and walking distances, is published on the routes list before you book. Nothing is added afterwards.

A named guide confirms every booking, not an automated queue. You send your dates, the guide checks road and weather conditions, replies within one working day, and the 30% deposit is collected only after that reply. Check your government's travel advisory before booking.

02. Practicalities

What the weekend price covers, and what you pay separately

Every departure is priced the same way: transport from the meeting point, two nights in a family guesthouse, meals and a licensed local guide. Extras are listed openly so you can budget before you reserve a place.

Included in the price

  • Two nights in a family-run guesthouse, twin room
  • All meals from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch
  • Licensed local guide for the weekend, one per twelve guests
  • Return minibus transfer from the Lviv or Ivano-Frankivsk meeting point
  • National park entry and route permits
  • Trekking poles, rain ponchos and a group first-aid kit

Paid separately

  • Travel to and from the meeting point
  • Drinks outside meals, sauna and banya sessions
  • Personal travel and hiking insurance, required
  • Single-room supplement, 900 UAH per night
  • Souvenirs, craft markets and extra cafe stops
  • Any addition requested after the itinerary is confirmed

03 / Guest cancellations

Cancellation and refund tiers

Every tier below is written into your booking confirmation before you pay. Groups are capped at twelve guests, so a late cancellation takes a place from another traveller, which is why the tiers step down as departure approaches.

  1. 22 days or more before departure

    100% refund of everything paid, deposit included.

  2. 8 to 21 days before departure

    75% refund. The 25% deposit covers guesthouse rooms and transport holds we cannot release.

  3. 3 to 7 days before departure

    50% refund of the tour price.

  4. 48 hours or less, or no show

    No refund, but you may pass your place to another traveller at no charge up to 24 hours before departure.

  5. When we cancel the departure

    100% refund within five working days if safety conditions or a change to your government's travel advisory make the route unwise. You keep first refusal on the next open date.

04 / Advisory and insurance

Check your government's travel advisory before booking

We read the same advisories you do, every morning at 07:00 Kyiv time, and reassess each departure against conditions in the named region. If a route no longer passes the check, that departure does not run.

Travel insurance we ask for

Guests confirm travel insurance covering medical treatment, mountain evacuation and trip interruption before departure. We do not sell policies and take no commission from insurers.
